Thermal Baths Tickets
Which thermal baths do you sell tickets for?
Krakow Planner sells entry tickets for three thermal bath complexes near Krakow: Chochołów Thermal Baths, Terma Bania in Białka Tatrzańska, and Gorący Potok in Szaflary. All three are bookable online with instant confirmation.
Do I need to book thermal baths tickets in advance?
Yes — online booking is strongly recommended. All three complexes operate on timed entry and sell out regularly on weekends and public holidays. Booking in advance guarantees your entry slot and lets you skip the queue on arrival.
How far are the thermal baths from Krakow?
All three complexes are located approximately 80–100 km south of Krakow in the Podhale region — about 80–90 minutes by car. There is no direct public transport to the baths. A car or private transfer is recommended.
Are the thermal baths open in winter?
Yes — all three complexes are open year-round, including Christmas and New Year. Outdoor pools are heated to 28–38°C regardless of outside temperature. Winter visits are especially popular — bathing in warm geothermal water surrounded by snow-covered Tatra peaks is one of the most atmospheric experiences in the region.
Do I need to bring a towel?
Towels are not included in the entry ticket price. Bring your own or rent one at the complex reception. Flip-flops are also recommended, particularly in sauna areas.
Getting to Krakow & Getting Around
What is the best way to get from Krakow Airport to the city centre?
A private transfer is the most comfortable option — fixed price, named driver in arrivals, door-to-door service. The journey takes approximately 25–30 minutes. A train also runs from KRK Airport directly to Krakow Main Station (Kraków Główny) roughly every 30 minutes.
How do I get from Katowice Airport to Krakow?
The most comfortable option is a private transfer — approximately 75–90 minutes door-to-door. A bus connection exists but takes approximately 2 hours with a change. Book our KTW airport transfer for fixed-price door-to-door service.
Is Krakow a good base for day trips?
Yes — Krakow is one of the best bases for day trips in Central Europe. Auschwitz is 70 km west (1 hour by car), Wieliczka is 15 km (30 minutes), Zakopane is 100 km south (2 hours), and the thermal baths of Podhale are 80–100 km south (80–90 minutes).
How many days do you need in Krakow?
Three days comfortably covers the Old Town, Kazimierz, and a full day at Auschwitz-Birkenau. Four or five days adds Wieliczka and a Zakopane or thermal baths day. Krakow also works well as a 2–3 day weekend city break from the UK.
